Birthday parties are becoming bigger and better as time goes on. More an more effort and resources are going into them, creating amazing spectacles, each kid outdoing the last, but now it’s your child’s birthday, and you want them to enjoy the day, with a unique creative theme that will keep all the kids happy, but not paying an arm and a leg in return.
There are many different themes you can choose from, such as water party, cinema party, sports party, fashion party. If your having trouble deciding, just look outside your window. Is it snowing? Rainy? Sunny? These can be important indications of the sort of theme you should choose.
Snowy: Have a snow themed party! Get the children outside with warm clothes to enjoy a snowball fight, snow man and snow angel building, igloo building and what ever other snow activities you can think of. This will keep the kids busy and they will have great fun.
Rainy: Keep the party in doors, because grey rain can really dampen the day and the children’s spirits. Have board games ready, a Nintendo Wii for family games, a selection of goodies and treats, some indoor games, maybe hide and seek, or with a soft ball.
Sunny: Water fight! Prepare cheap water guns, paddle pool, slide, water hoses, water balloons. The kids will enjoy soaking each other, plus it saves them having a bath! Be sure to have towels and tell their parents to bring spare dry clothes after the games are over.
In any case, be sure to inform the parents of what the child should bring, be it sun screen, warm clothes, towels etc. And do your best to match the birthday cake, decorations, and invitations around this theme, so the kids will be talking about the party for years to come.
